Thomas Hill

Adjunct Professor at Chicago-Kent College of Law IIT

Professor Hill has been a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Private International Law in Hamburg, Germany, and at the UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles.

Professor Thomas Hill joined Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2005 and is currently Visiting Professor of Law, teaching courses in Business Organizations, Business Transactions, and International Trade. 

Before teaching at Chicago-Kent College of Law, Professor Hill was Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Hunter Douglas NV, a publicly traded Dutch manufacturing company. Previously, he was Senior Counsel, Latin American Division, for the World Bank in Washington, D.C., and an associate lawyer at Fried Frank in New York. This background gives Professor Hill a unique perspective on making legal theory relevant to practice and practices relevant to legal theory.
